D. J. Williams, son of Roberta and Ken Williams, was born in 1973 in Los Angeles, and is currently living in Mexico. He attended and graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in upstate New York (1991-1995). Since then he has worked for some of the best chefs in the United States and in some of the best restaurants; Erna’s Elderberry House in Oakhurst, Ca., The Beekman Arms in New York, Postrio and Hawthorne Lane in San Francisco, Sweet Basil and The Wildflower in Vail, Dahlia Lounge in Seattle, and Cinch in Santa Monica.

In addition he has been building websites for restaurants, and he also was Manager of Special Projects at Allrecipes.com before it was purchased by Reader’s Digest (January 1999-January 2000). He even held a daily on-line cooking show, interviewing the likes of Mario Batali and Rick Bayless.

D. J. has been visiting Mexico since his early childhood and he visited the Los Cabos area for the first time over 20 years ago. He is running a catering and events business with Gloria Greene in San Jose del Cabo. They came up with the idea of a portable kitchen, and the kitchen - his own design - got its first trial run in May 2008.

Their website is called BajaFire.com. It is an example of a site constructed with the website construction set that was developed by his father. It is available at /TalkSpot.com, which is maintained by both.
