Neat! And I just happened to be replaying DOTT last night! Still looks far from finished, but I hope the best of luck to them! Hopefully they can get a decent German-English translator, though.

I thought this had already been done with Maniac Mansion Deluxe? Apparently that's a remake with better graphics.

I like Maniac Mansion and all, but I could think of other games to remake, especially since MM has one remake already.

Did you even click the link? Maniac Mansion Deluxe was made with LucasArts' FM Towns version style graphics (EGA graphics VGA-ized in Deluxe Paint). This Edvanced Edition remake is with DOTT graphics. Looks very different and I think it's neat! I can't wait to experience the game this way if it indeed gets finished.

Yeah, I clicked the link. The graphics are slightly better with this new MM version. However, I simply feel that since there's already been ONE remake of MM, maybe a remake of another Adventure might be more interesting.

Of course, opinions may vary. :P

Nothing wrong with trying another remake if it ends up being better than the previous remake (opinions varied.) Everyone probably has their own spin on their own favorite stories.

Granted, what I'd like to see is a retooling of MM and DOTT that allows a multiplayer option.

Hmmm... MM Multiplayer. That sounds interesting and makes sense considering the game content. I never thought of that before.

The only problem is that one person would have to wait around while the other finished his/her quest so that the other may continue on. It'd be pretty neat if someone made an interpreter that would do that, though.

Maybe someone should make a co-op multiplayer adventure (similar to L4D except not action or first person) where everyone has a goal MM-style and has to work together to solve puzzles....

...oh wait, is that Uru Live?

Well, I was thinking of co-op multiplayer. Uru failed because... well, it was a Myst game and let's be honest here, not a whole lot happens.

Uru was also released in 2003. Technology has improved since then and so has online gaming, especially when it comes to co-op play.
