working in windows installer?

Hello, there
I'm a fan of GK.
I installed GK2 with the windows installer.(not a DOSBox installer)
and patched english subtitle.
But I can't see any subtitle in game.
English subtitle patcher said it works in windows installer too.
I saw subpatch folder in GK2WIN. I think those are subtitle files.
Did I miss anything?
English subtitle patcher works in only DOSBox installer?

Are you using the Hendroz installer or the original Sierra installer?

It's a HD/DVD Installer 1.01 by Enrico Rolfi (Endroz).
It doesn't require DOSBox.
What is the original installer?

The original installer is the one that Sierra shipped on the CD. Compatibility with Hendorz's installer must have gotten broken. It will be a while before I will be able to take a look. If you can't wait, it does currently work with this installer.
