After reading this post, I have to say I am tempted to play the Gabriel Knight games. I'm curious to see what they are all about because everyone seems to love them. I've only played the first one for a short time and have never played two or three... maybe I should?

You DEFINITELY should. 1 and 2 especially. 3 is good, but doesn't give me as much enjoyment as the other two. But the first two are definitely must-plays.

How did you not include at least your own Police Quest site for the links?

Larry Laffer (dot Net) got no love. But Larry's used to not getting love!

Well, the article was ready months ago, before Police Quest and before Larry forums, when the closure of the official boards seemed immediate. We stored it until the closure was official, and I didn't modify the links...

That explains it. It seemed like it had a slightly dated view. Still appropriate, now.
