HI again, problems & I'm trying to run kq 8 on vista

Hi from australia everyone, and thanks for your help last time. Basically the situation is l am trying to see (or run) kings quest 8 on windows vista 32-bit, (i'm using vista business). I bought the old classic sierra games for xp and including kings quest 1-7 which worked well, but l bought kings quest 8 about 5 years ago and i'm only playing it now (or trying to). There seems to be nothing on how to run it on vista on google, could l get any updates/patches? Any answers would be really great.

As I mentioned in your thread on Adventure Gamers, at this point a virtualizer may be the only way. Virtual PC is free.

ok thanks for your answer, l'll try that. If next time l have a problem with future games l'll just post in either adventure gamers or this one, so sorry about that, not both. I usually post in a few to get a more better luck of getting answers.

Hey all. Anyway with my last problem, l worked it all out, from research and help on here. I downloaded microsoft 2007 virtual machine and installed a copy of windows 98 that l got from a relative and it worked pretty well, sure l had a few problems but its working though. Now l have only started playing the game, some days ago, and l am encountering another problem.
The exact situation is after defeating the henchman (after getting the axe), l walk back over the bridge and past the fountain, and l cannot enter the millhouse on the right. After clicking on the cursor on the screen with the left mouse/laptop button the door opens but l cannot move, i'm completely stuck, so obviously l can't do anything.
Also before this happened last night, after l drank from the fountain, l couldn't move aswell, but l just ignored it and restored the game, so yeah l have no idea.
I suddenly thought it might be a patch problem, so i've spent all in all 3 hours researching and downloading 2 or 3 patches and nothing works.
Is there a site that l can visit that has every patch for kings quest 8, or maybe there's only a few.

I have never heard of this problem. There is only one patch, MoE13FG. There were a couple of earlier patches, but the issues that they fixed are also included with MoE13FG. I don't believe that the patch addresses this, but it can't hurt to try it.
