Question re: QfG1 (VGA)

Not finding any Glory in this whole Quest for Glory bit? Need a hint? Or just want to discuss Quest for Glory - this is the place to do it!

Question re: QfG1 (VGA)

Post by Rath Darkblade » Mon Jan 13, 2014 7:12 pm

I started trying to play QfG1 (VGA) last night. Everything was going well and I was having a blast, until I hit the mushroom ring at night (with the fairies). They asked my hero to dance, he started dancing (as per normal) - and wouldn't stop (i.e. this is not the death sequence, the hero just wouldn't stop dancing and give the fairies a chance to ask what he wants). ;)

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Never experienced it before. Have you changed the cycles from the default?

Nope... I just tried getting my hero to dance for the fairies again (at 10,000 cycles), and it worked. *shrugs* Not sure what happened last time, but it seems to work now.

Is 10,000 cycles the default?

Did you try the usual things of turning down the detail and playing with the game speed?

Maybe your hero just wanted to dance last time? And keep dancing?

Uhm.... I wasn't aware of these. I usually leave the detail as is and turn the game speed all the way up. Next time, do I turn the detail and speed down?

Oh yes - and die dancing. ;) At any rate, my hero finished dancing and got the fairy dust now. I'm just not sure what happened last time. *shrug* Oh well...
