Question about Starcraft II...
I played the original Starcraft, and I've had a bit of a look at SC2. I'm wondering - do I have to be constantly logged on to the internet, in order to play this thing? I know that you have to be constantly online to play World of Warcraft. In my opinion, that is really a waste of time and money.
Is it the same with Starcraft II?
Thanks!

Okay, wait... do you mean that WoW being constantly logged in is a "waste of time and money?" It's an MMO! The entire concept is based around cooperative and competitive online play. It's called a "massively multiplayer online" game for a reason.Rath Darkblade wrote:I played the original Starcraft, and I've had a bit of a look at SC2. There is no single player portion of the game; never has been in any MMO, because that's not the reason you buy an MMO. In short, if you don't like the idea of always being online in a game, the very last genre you should ever buy is that of an MMO.
As for SC2, why're you asking this here instead of an SC2-focused message board or, better yet, doing your own research online? There's Google, Wikipedia, review sites, dedicated message boards, etc. I'm sure you can find whatever you're looking for by using some combination of those.
Coming here for SC2 makes about as much sense as going to a Starcraft board and asking questions about QFG or KQ. Sure, someone might possibly know the answer (or they could do your job and look the information up), but you have a better chance of getting the information you want by going to the correct place or doing your own research.

yes, SC II and Diablo 3 (Blizzard latest 2 (non-expansion) titles) require you to be online to play the single player game.

Ay-yi-yi... I've already done my own research on Google, Wikipedia and review sites. However, I didn't find the answer there... that's why I came here. Sorry about that, Rath. I was already ticked off about something and unfairly took out my frustration on you.Rath Darkblade wrote:Ay-yi-yi...
