Little explanation. Michael Hutchison (as Gabriel) wore the trenchcoat during the video capture sessions for Gabe's animations. As an animator for GK1, he used the small model police car to capture animations. He took still pictures at 8 (or maybe 16) angles of rotation, and then used those to make the animations of the cars driving away.

I never knew the inter-workings of how they did the animations. Pretty cool!

If you watch the making of GK1 documentary, you can briefly see Michael climbing up a few steps in his trench coat, in front of a blue screen.
