Launchers for other games??

Post by D2Legend » Wed Apr 18, 2012 3:22 am

i have started going through all my old games and would like to learn how to make desktop icons that launch them. they run fine in DOSBox but i get tired of having to mount them every time. is there any way you could teach me how to make desktop icons that launch the games through DOSBox?? thanks again.

Add the mount commands to the autoexec section of the conf file for the game and add it to a DOSBox shortcut with the "-conf" switch:

Have you considered using a front-end like ProgGammaX? I prefer to have a list of all the Dos games and just click on the one I want to play. To me that's easier than a bunch of icons. But I also have over 75 Dos games. So creating shortcuts for all of them would be a bit of a headache

You just use the GUI of the frontend to add games and it builds the database for you. DBGL has one package that includes a number of freeware/shareware games already added.
