what game is this? (act 2)

Post by resin » Wed Oct 19, 2011 3:05 am

Another game I used to play and can't remember name of... It's a point-and-click adventure, came out mid 90s. You start on a docked boat and have to figure out a way to get off. There's one scene where you control a bug that climbs around on a man's face searching for something (can't remember what it was). Another scene includes a lab where you have to figure out some puzzles, and the scene preceding the lab includes a few houses/buildings, where you had to get up to the roofs to find an item (I wanna say a bird's nest?). That's about all I can remember.. the bug on the face scene has stuck in my mind the most over the years, and anyone who's played the game will definitely remember it. What game is this?

Can you recall any other details? Is the protagonist a man or woman? What time period is the game set in? Does the interface use a more Sierra-like or LucasArts-like style? Was the game released on diskette or CD?

If you could answer any (or preferably all) of these, that'd help out a lot in figuring out the game's name.

Yeah I tried googling a few things based off the first post, and the closest I could come up with was MORROWIND which was not mid 90s.

That game has to be Goblin's Quest 3.

It sounds like it, but the ship is not docked, it is falling.

You guys are good. That's it. Wasn't sure if I'd ever find that game again. And yes now that you mention it, I do recall the ship falling through the sky. I didn't remember it being sailed through water, so I assumed it had to be docked. I just watched a video of that scene, man does that bring back good memories.. Thanks to all of you for the help, you've made my day. A cookie for each of you :] (extra chocolate chips for Akril)

You're welcome!

(To be honest, I think I just skipped over the bit about the boat being docked, but everything else just screamed Goblin's Quest 3 to me.)
