Sierra Poll: VGA SCI Era (SCI1.1) - PART TWO

VGA games part two! SCI1.1 games, to be exact. Coloured cursors, General MIDI support, and voice acting most of the time. As I said in the last poll, Eco Quest originally started as an SCI1.0 disk game but eventually got SCI1.1 disk and CD versions quite soon after, so I'll count it as primarily an SCI1.1 game. Have at it! Hopefully a game other than KQ6 has a chance this time around!

Out of these, I'm going with Space Quest V.

One could always remove KQ6 from these polls and see who we vote for otherwise if it's such a big problem. It's just one of those things where we always know the outcome. That was one of the reasons I removed Graham and Guybrush from my adventure heroes poll (before I realized I was misled in regards to how much this forum loves Gabriel.)

I'd vote SQ5 otherwise if KQ6 weren't an option.

Nah, I think removing it makes it unbalanced. I think it's interesting to see who wouldn't pick KQ6, even though KQ6 is there.

I loved KQ6, make no mistake. But it wasn't as memorable as SQ5. And I know everyone else LOVES them some KQ6!

Indeed. I, personally, don't believe that KQ6 is going to come out on top in this particular poll series. It's just not that good. Sierra made a lot of great games. I'm hoping that polling by era and game style will change KQ6's unholy reign.

I would have went with SQ5, too, if KQ6 weren't included. But I agree that omitting it would just give a skewed perspective. Sort of like having the Oscars without the front runner. It ends up being a lie. If you are going to do that you could just do a 2nd favorite to keep it honest.

Agreed. It's like if the poll was for best body, and they removed me, and left Brad Pitt.
