Sam and Max: The Devil's Playground

Post by Rath Darkblade » Fri Sep 16, 2011 6:08 am

Just wondering whether I can run this game? ;) I saw it retailing at a local game store for $49.95. Thing is, once I buy it, I cannot return it (it used to be that games could be returned within 7 days).

So what I'm wondering is:

1) Can I run this game?
2) Is there anything special I need to know about before running this game (e.g. does it have to be "enabled" or "activated" in some way, like the Dragon Age games)?
3) Anything else I ought to know before plonking money on the table? ;)

Thanks! :D

Kind of need more information about your system specs. It's a fairly recent Telltale game so it should work on a modern system decently enough. Just install and go.

Also, not to nitpick, but it's The Devil's Playhouse, not Playground.

You can get all 3 Sam&Max games at the Telltale website for only $39.95.

And if it's the physical copies you want, they can mail them for free with just shipping and handling.

Otherwise, it DOES need to be enabled online the first time you start it up. I'm able to run it without internet, but that's after activation.

I own all 3 disc seasons mailed from Telltale, you don't need an internet connection to activate them. That's only for the versions you download from their website.

Rath, why don't you look at your own system specs and then compare them to whatever is supposedly required by the game? I can't imagine you'd have a problem since you can obviously run DA:O and DA2, both of which need a higher-end system than any of TellTale's games.

Look, I'd recommend waiting until the holidays to buy it. Both Steam and TellTale have massive sales around that time, so you'll get a much better deal.

You run "Dragon Age?" Then yeah - Sam & Max shouldn't be a problem.
