lode runner: legend returns laptop controls

I played the game as a kid on a desktop, and the controls were #1-9 on the right side of the keyboard. I can't find all the controls for the version I just got for my laptop. Up (climb ladders), left, right, home and page up (blasts ground), and end (pick up tool) are all I can figure out. How to use a tool or slide down ladders are mysteries to me still. Can anyone help? Either let me know what keys to use or how to change what keys act as controllers. I've pressed every key on my laptop keyboard, and I still can't do all of the actions lode runner is equipped with.

Try this: Hold the FN key and then press F8.

On some (but most certainly not all) laptops this'll let turn part of your normal keyboard into a numpad.
