Mean Streets & Martian Memorandum

Post by Collector » Tue Jul 05, 2011 2:45 am

I know that Mean Streets & Martian Memorandum are usually most peoples least favorite of the Tex Murphy games, but now that I have the Invasion of the Body Snatchers* edition of the Tex Murphy games done I only had the two remaining Tex games to write installers for. Since these were only small games with no extra considerations, I quickly knocked them out for completeness sake. All five games are now done.

Despite their evident flaws, I like both Mean Streets and Martian Memorandum, but especially the first one. I always thought that the way the story was presented in the first game - with red herrings, wrong leads, deceptive clues, etc. - was superior to the streamlined version of Overseer. And MM, even if it was nothing more than a sci-fi B-movie romp, was entertaining in its own right and I liked how intertwined this game and UAKM were.
