Honestly, I haven't watched any Terminator movies since T2. T3, by all accounts, ruined the franchise. :( Is that right?

I wouldn't say so. T1 and definitely T2 were better IMO, but T3 was still quite good. What probably did ruin the franchise was the TV series they made out of it. What was it, "The Sarah Connor Chronicles"?

T3 wasn't great, but the ending made up for all the other faults in the movie.

Aww I loved that show hardcore. The best thing it did in my eyes was subverting the death of Sarah Connor in T3. I mean, killing Sarah Connor offscreen is just not on.
