Post by MusicallyInspired » Fri Jan 21, 2011 10:28 am

I realise this isn't everybody's cup of tea, but I've gotta say after waiting nigh 14 years I'm psyched for this!

Gearbox doesn't announce a release date or a game for that matter without following through on time. 3DR are completely out of the picture. We're gonna see it in 3 months. Count on it.

And it's coming out for all 3 platforms.

By "all three platforms" I assume you mean Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC, right? I can't imagine it on the Wii, but there are some CoD games for it, so it's possible.

That trailer is awesome! I didn't think it would make me laugh this much. I may have to play this now.

I'm loving the addition of the artbook there! Looks amazing. I'd totally be buying this version on release if that's what we get.

That bust looks like an armless Ah-Nuld (circa 1992 and Terminator II). ;)

Ah, I still remember the original Duke Nukem (when Apogee made it, way back when...) ;)

Lol! This is great! If you're tired of the one-dimensional sleazy attitude and questionable themes of Duke Nukem maybe you should try Doug Huggem!

Well, crap.

Something is strange, though. North American release June 14th and international release June 10th? Why does international get it earlier?

Today is May 3rd. The day of the original release date of DNF before it was postponed to June 14th (June 10th international). But it is indeed coming on the 14th. Randy Pitchford, president and CEO of Gearbox Software has confirmed that the game is complete (all bugs squashed) and going through the certification process. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/ ... 44/1/.html. The article was confirmed by a Gearbox employee on their forums. The system requirements have also finally been released and they are as follows:

Minimum Specifications
  • OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.0 Ghz / AMD Athlon 64 X2 @ 2.0 Ghz
  • Memory: 1 Gb
  • Hard Drive: 10 Gb free
  • Video Memory: 256 MB
  • Video Card: nVidia GeForce 7600 / ATI Radeon HD 2600
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
Recommended Specifications
  • OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.4 Ghz / AMD Athlon 64 X2 @ 2.6 Ghz
  • Memory: 2 Gb
  • Hard Drive: 10 Gb free
  • Video Memory: 512 MB
  • Video Card: nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS / ATI Radeon HD 3850
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
I expect the demo to be released to First Access Club members any time now. Also, here's a new and uncensored "Come Get Some" trailer released a few days ago (NSFW).

The long wait is almost over.

 So much for me getting it. I have a nVidia GeForce 6800. But then most of my gaming is on console, so this desktop hasn't been updated for a long time.

I can't believe it's actually coming out. This game's development has lasted most of my life.
