Fire Sheep (hijacking online)

There's a new Firefox extension called Fire Sheep. It looks for vulnerable Internet traffic (i.e. networks and websites that aren't secured) and allows the user to take someone else's log-in credentials. Here's more info about Fire Sheep.

Websites that use HTTPS are safe from it, as are secured networks. Two Firefox extensions that are helpful in combating Fire Sheep are: HTTPS Everywhere and Black Sheep.

HTTPS Everywhere is useful on your desktop and laptop. Not all sites have HTTPS, but if one does, this extension will force it. Seems like something we'd all know to do anyway, but the extension is there and easy to use, so why not?

Black Sheep is probably best served on a laptop. You're bound to connect to different networks, some secured and some not. Most, if not all, of these networks will be wireless. This is where Black Sheep would work the best. In addition, as stated up above, getting HTTPS Everywhere would be a good idea.
