Nope. Kubrick is perhaps the greatest director of all time, in my opinion, but I like this director more.

Hint 1: The movie is very, very, very long. Almost three hours.
Hint 2: It was snubbed by the Academy, leading to a very strange protest

Big Hint: The director worked also for the television, penning and directing an enourmous hit, and what I personally believe to be the most beautiful TV show ever, more than twenty years ago. Oh, and I believe Collector should certainly know who I'm talking about
