Silver Lining website refuses to load on my computer!

Is the game being a ROYAL pain? Need a hint? Got a problem? This is the place to discuss King's Quest!

Silver Lining website refuses to load on my computer!

Post by Arjak » Sun Jul 18, 2010 11:03 pm

I've tried multiple times to go to tsl-game.com, but every time, BOTH web browsers that I've tried act like the website doesn't exist!

What do I do? I want to play the game!

I tried it with both Seamonkey, which is a variant of Firefox, and Internet Explorer.

For kicks, try Opera and Chrome. I doubt they'll work any better, but you might as well give it a go. Hell, try Safari while you're at it.

I have Firefox, IE, Opera and Chrome on my machine and I use them all for different things. The TSL website loads with all four of them for me, so maybe it's a problem beyond your browser or some setting within them.

Are you blocking Flash? Any security settings that immediately close down access to certain websites?

I know I'm reaching here, but I'm trying to figure out what the problem is and why it's not happening to any of us.

Try asking on the POS forums.

And here I thought "POS" meant something else... ;)

I know. I mentioned in the critique thread, but no one commented. They really need to rethink that one.

Actually, their website says "Phoenix Online Game Development" rather than "Phoenix Online Studios" now. But 'tis too late. The acronym is out there and most people don't even realise it's changed.

What version of Internet Explorer are you using? I believe our site requires at least IE7 or Firefox 3.6 with Java fairly recently updated.

Wonders if his firewall is blocking the site.

That's actually a really good question. I haven't ever had any trouble accessing it from any location so it didn't even occur to me. Do you have a firewall running Arjak?
