Hi-res adventure #2: Wizard and the Princess

Post by jikomublops » Sat Dec 12, 2009 2:43 am

I'm trying to get through this relic unaided by newfangled internet fancy -- you know, FAQ, walkthroughs, serious cheating and stuff. I intend to wander aimlessly through this game until I am victorious -- thus, I can relate my experience on my blog.

The trouble is, it's difficult, twisty, and expletive producing. So, my question for the Sierra online elite (that's you) is, how does one escape the desert, after having clubbed the rattlesnake with rock, gotten two illedgible notes, freed some other snake, become a snake yourself to no real effect, and find one's self staring into an uncrossable chasm?

I, myself, am stuck, but have rationalized that this falls into the category of non-FAQ assistane, since in 1980, I would probably have dialed into a BBS and posted something sort of like this. Thanks in advance,

Angelo

yes, this is a bit odd.

Thanks so much for the timely response. This will help. I'm sure you've been through the glorious agony that is what eventually becomes the skewed balance of solving and IF adventure and doing all that other stuff (work, feeding pets, personal hygeine, graduating college, etc.)

Your hint is utterly perfect. I will now delve back into the desert. Wish me luck, and thanks again. -delving-

So I'm still struggling around this adventure. I thought the folks around this forum might be intersted in my Evil Kanival, without-the-aid-of-an-internet (FAQ) approach to an ancient IF game.

Those interested in the journal of a madman wandering around the sullen desert of Wizard and the Princess May check out http://longboardu.wordpress.com
The most recent two posts have detailed, pictured accounts of my struggle.

MAybe you can help. I'm lost.

cheers, all
