Now THAT is a nice surprise! It really REALLY rarely happens that i see a box from Sierra which i have never seen before. Today, i did. I heard about this 27-year-old game, know just a little about it, but it's there, up for auction on eBay, and it sure looks complete and authentic. Time to assume the sniper position, mega bullet... Will show it when the auction is over in 3 days. Wish me luck ;)

The auction was canceled prematurely  ! I asked him if he is going to relist it, but he didn't reply yet. Meh... :|
The game was Aquatron, a seabattle game for the Apple II from 1983. And the box (and this may be the only picture of it on the whole web), looks like... (drum rolls), THIS:

Of course, since the auction ended prematurely, i got a bit peeved off, so i'm compensating. Appetizer:

FINALLY, the original US box of Pharaoh. Have it already 6 times in different boxes and compilations:

Empire Earth:

...and it's expansion, The Art of Conquest. Need to fix up the box a bit though. This one also completes the entire Empire Earth series of the collection: original 3 titles, both expansions, the Gold and Platinum Editions and a bunch of alternative releases (UK boxes, Sierra Bestseller series rereleases,...)

Main dish:

As you probably all know, King's Quest was first made in 1983 as a display game for the new IBM Jr. However Quest for the Crown was not the only game, made by Sierra, for IBM's newest PC. Here is another bit more obscure game: "Mine Shaft" for PC Jr, made by Sierra in 1983.

Another game by Sierra from 1983 for the IBM Pc Jr.: Crossfire. This game is actually a remake. Crossfire was first released by On-Line Systems in 1981 and then rereleased under the SierraVision logo somewhere in 1982/1983. This PC Jr release was the last one to my knowledge.

Another acquisition: "Scarface: The World Is Yours", the collector's edition (only available for the PS2). Though not a classic Sierra game, this one has a special meaning to me, since it was the first game i moderated on the former official Sierra forums 4 years ago. Comes with posters and stuff. I'm particularly looking forward to the making-of DVD which comes exclusively in this edition. Great info to insert in the site.
