Anyone doing screenshots should include the titlebar and addressbar. The titlebar shows the error number and the addressbar shows the URL that you were trying to load.

I have just about had it with Arvixe. If they don't fix it or move us to another server I am ready to look for another service when the year is up. Perhaps it is time to contact their quality department to complain.

So check it...

Hello,

I apologize on the inconvenience. I've run another separate assessment. I agree there were load spikes occurring which seemed to have some pattern to them. I've identified a few problematic accounts and am continuing to watch for further load spikes.

You mentioned transferring to a different server, we can assist with this if you wish I completely understand. All I need is verification from you to confirm this and verify your account. Please keep me updated on the last 4 characters of the billing password if you wish to proceed with this.

In case you have forgotten your billing password, please have it reset using the below link:

So Collector, I'd recommend writing them an email with the subject header the same: [SERVER OPERATIONS #YSP-103-84723]: [oxen.arvixe.com] SierraHelp.com forums frequently become unresponsive

I'd copy and paste the entire email I quoted, and do whatever. Looks like they're willing to try and move it, it would seem.

Additional info:

Arvixe wrote:Hello,

There is a transfer limit of 5GB, yes. In total the /home data usage calculates to about 12GB. We could alternatively create a secondary account for you on a different server. We generally give about a weeks access to both accounts to transfer data and DNS.

The transfer, you would need to do - but the process is very easy. You will go to your backups section of cPanel > Backups >>Generates or Download a full website backup and create a backup in the /home directory for your user.

After this you can download the file via FTP and upload it to the secondary. You can request that we un-package the cPanel file once the upload is done.

This will move all the data at the same time, mail accounts, etc.

I really do apologize for the inconveniences - we are continuing to monitor the server to pinpoint further issues, load spikes can occasionally occur however in the shared hosting environment. We could definitely open a secondary account for you to accommodate a server change to a more stable server that we have available while we continue to investigate.

Keep me posted if you would like to opt for this option at all.

At least Karen seems to care... She just emailed me again (and it might be coincidence, but the forum does seem to be responding faster right now)...

Arvixe wrote:Hello,
Just to touch base on this issue - I found a further problem, after taking action on this I am seeing much improvement so - please feel free to let me know if you encounter any further issues at all.
I will continue to watch the server load for the remainder of my shift, again, let me know if you run into problems, still wish to migrate, etc.

I downgraded my internet service to save money, so uploading several GBs is out of the question. The problem is on their end because their script to automate the migration is limited to 5GB. They will not do it manually, even though it is to fix a problem that they do not seem to be able to fix. I have contacted them repeatedly and have gone through all of this before several times and always with the same results. Moving should be done gratis with no effort on my part, even if they have to get off of their lazy asses and manually do it. They should also give me a credit for all of the crap for so long. If i have to do so much uploading just to fix what they seem incapable of doing, I might as well start looking for another service.

Not gonna stop you from looking elsewhere; but just going to offer - if you wanted to do the second account thing, I'd be more than happy to download SHP and then re-upload it. That would not be a problem for me. Least I could do for all that you do.

I can do full download + upload if you really want to move around.
But there are tools out there that can fool ftp servers to upload data to each other directly. (so you order one ftp to download and the other to upload and give them each others ip addresses)
FXP I think it is called (flashfxp or ftprush)
That would be a far more efficient solution

Sigh. The performance seems so much faster. But clearly the issue isn't resolved if you saw it again. Added it to the on going ticket.

One more. I realize that a lot of people that used to come here on a regular basis have abandoned us for Facebook, but I have to wonder if we have lost people because they got tired of all of the errors and time outs.
