Quest For Infamy from Infamous Quests has been.
You may have heard of this Quest for Glory with sass game that got a start with a very successful Kick Starter. Infamous Quests is the professional reincarnation of Infamous Adventures. IA did the first fan VGA remake of KQ3 and the fantastic SQ2VGA. I have seen some of the beginning of the release build and it looks great.

Quest For Infamy is available from Steam, GOG, Desura and Humble.

I look forward to this - and place it in the stack of games to play...!

A lot of people don't know this, but there are games on Steam that simply use it as a delivery platform and not as DRM. To do this, you just need to find the game's real EXE file, which is probably housed in the SteamApps folder.

The reason I bring that up is because it's highly likely that QFI would allow the player to do that.

You'd need to try it out for yourself, of course, as Steam doesn't advertise this fact, so the only way to know which games do and do not work like this is through trial and error.

Hmm, I've heard of this before and it certainly looks interesting. I think I'll give it a try!
