Without a doubt. But I was humored that these women were hired for one thing and one thing only. And they clearly knew nothing of the game. I am pretty sure where they show the one girl holding the X360 Controller, it's probably the first time she's done that!

If this were a TV show they'd have
Pac Man ot
Space Invader sound effects in the background.

Oh, rest assured, I know there's women gamers. I just don't think THOSE women were gamers. In the least bit.
They seemed to be too... into themselves... to possibly have any other interest than how they look.

That's kind of lame that they're still trying to lure in THAT demographic with a bunch of scantily clad women who have nothing to do with the game. Of course, we don't know how the final ad looked. Maybe it wasn't that bad.
They've made a number of
Dragon Age commercials and they all focus on the combat, despite the rich story. I think they should make commercials that focus on both to draw in a broader range of people.
Personally, I prefer this
Saints Row Character Creator commercial. Sure, they're scantily clad too, but at least it's
intentionally ridiculous.

Perhaps their marketers are still stuck in the old paradigm that the majority of gamers are pimply teenage boys.

Possibly, but I know at least some people at BioWare know better. When I used to actually participate in their forums, they had some prominent community members who were women and some of them had sort of fan-based working relationships with the company. There are a number of female players of RPGs compared to other genres.
I guess those kinds of commercials just piss me off because that's how the general public gets their impression that video games only consist of blood-thirsty combat.

I think the average non-gamer probably believes
this sort of idiocy shown in TV shows over anything else.

Dear God.
I can only hope that someday Randy Pitchford we'll be right. Someday everyone will be a gamer. And we'll have a president of the United States whose also a gamer. Maybe then people will actually GET IT.
