multiple machines?

Post by resin » Tue Nov 08, 2011 4:07 am

I noticed in some of the installers' conf's, there are multiple machines listed. For example:

[DOSBox]
machine=tandy
machine=svga_s3

Will the game really be using both machines? Can someone explain the purpose of having more than one machine in the conf?

Which installers? That needs to be corrected. I have both listed in some of the templates, but one should be commented out. DOSBox will use the last entry.

Ok I looked through them all again and the ones with multiple machines are LSL5, LSL6 (Original), and LSL7 Demo. These were from the Pleasure Pack. They all look like the above example. I'm guessing I should keep the tandy and remove the default svga_s3?

Other way around. Use svga_s3 for the SCI games and Tandy for AGI. I'll have to check the scripts to see what happened. I suspect that it is because of my hard drive recovery.
