I haven't paid attention to the Sims ever since I played the first one.

Basically, I had a look at my little Sim playing his little computer game... on my computer game...

and thought...

"Why the *expletive* am I wasting my time on this?" :P

Same here. Although I have to admit it was fun building my "dungeon of horrors." :D
"Er, Tawni, not Tawmni, unless you are doing drag."

The Rijksmuseum has two gigantic doll's houses from the 17th century. They give an amazing view into the life of the well-to-do back then.

From the amount of money invested into this one, you could have easily bought and furnished a house. The closet has turtle inlay, and the house contains over 2500 individual pieces, all scaled 1:25: silverware, crockery, cupboards, mini paintings... There used to be dolls in it too, but only one survives. Click on Next to view details.

These pages dedicated to the other doll's house are all in Dutch, I couldn't find an English version, but still the photos are interesting. Click on Volgende to view details.

The day that doll's houses were expensive hobbies for ladies with too much time and money, are probably gone. Two hundred years from now, the geniuses that live then will have invented a machine that can read CD-roms, and they find a Sims torture basement and believe the 21st century was entirely made up from either barbarians or sado-masochists.

You're a brave man, Tawm. I'd never confess I like Sims, probably because I really don't. Telling people I played a lot with Catz 4 is embarrassing enough for me.
There's a new script around: PHANTASMAGORIA! Check the Script Party topic in the Bard's Forum!

Pfft, it's probably because I don't give a flying f___k what people think of me, because of what games I play. Or any hobbies I do. People think I am a nerd or loser for playing D&D, pfft, let'em. I enjoy it, and that's what matters.

I haven't had a chance to play - my wife is currently playing. Which I am excited about since she has gamed in a very long time.

I will admit that I played with the first title and found it amusing and, at the time, quite novel. However, I'm no fan of the genre so I didn't play the expansions or the sequels.

Is this Medieval version any different from the previous ones? Did the add something more? Perhaps some mechanics more similar to RPGs?
Talk to coffee? Even Gabriel isn't that addicted!

There is some combat involved from time to time. But if you're looking for an RPG, this is not it.
