Classic Sektor and Cyrax are also free. Haven't gotten Kenshi yet. Haven't even tried Skarlett yet, even though I bought it.

Rain looks pretty sweet.

I need to buy all three (Kenshi, Skarlett and Rain). Just too much going on for me to grab'em and play.

But once things settle - I will be all over it.

Got to admit I didn't see it coming - and don't care for when they inject other franchises into the game (hated it when they did it in Soul Calibur too). But meh, may or may not download him ... whenever I have a free moment, which doesn't look to be any time in the near future.

The Klassic Skins included with the Freddy Krueger DLC and the next free compatibility pack will be revealed tomorrow in a new trailer!

I haven't really enjoyed a Mortal Kombat game since part four came out (four was the beginning of the end!). I tried MK9 but I just really didn't feel like learning a new fighting system. With that said, I've got an MK2 arcade pcboard that I've had for about 10 years. It still randomly gets played. I finally bit the bullet and got a great deal on a Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 pcboard and should have that next week. I'm excited!

Also, I've got an unused classic Sub-Zero costume+fatality code for PS3 if anyone needs it.

Well, they were downloadable. I, ironically, just downloaded them last night. I haven't tried them out, however. Not even sure, at this point, how to access them.

I am confused. MK9, pretty much plays like the classic MK games. No more 3D scrolling around a room, back to side scrolling. The attacks are all, for the most part, much like the classic moves, with a bunch of new possible moves thrown in.

Indeed. There's not much reinventing of the wheel going on in MK9. And it's ten times more fun than the originals. With the addition of kombos (some of which you can chain) it just makes it super fun. And all your moves are easily accessible when you pause the game. As well as fatalities. Also, it's a 2D arena not 3D one, if you didn't already know.

Yeah I spent a few weeks playing it, but just couldn't get into it. I was really excited when it was first released. I guess in general I think 3D fighters just feel weird. I can play Street Fighter 4 without issues, but contact between attacks and the other player just don't feel right to me like they do in SF2/SF3. MK9 was the same way. It's definitely not a bad game, it's just not for me.
