Is it Ringworld?
If it is then I have no idea where that screen is.

Well, since everyone seemed to have trouble with it, I'll give it to you. It is the sequel, Return to Ringworld, which was much better than the first. The screen shot is in the Spill Mountains.

Re: Where Do I Belong? The "Other" Edition
Ah, I see. I've only played the demo of Return to Ringworld that was included on my cd of Ringworld. Always seemed like it would be an insanely fun game, but I never got a chance to try it out myself.

Re: Where Do I Belong? The "Other" Edition
I think some of these screenshots are a little small for a generic adventure screenshot game lol. While we can be reasonably sure that all of us have played most Sierra games, the same certainly can't be said for other adventures.

Re: Where Do I Belong? The "Other" Edition
Wow, this thread makes me realize how many adventures outside of Sierra I haven't played!
I don't know that shot but I do have a question: Do console games count? Like from Sega Genesis? Or is this strictly PC.

Re: Where Do I Belong? The "Other" Edition
I could never quite get into the first Ringworld game, but Return to Ringworld I really enjoyed. A very traditional adventure game with story related problems to solve, not random, arbitrary puzzles. It is also a talkie with three playable characters. If you like science fiction based good old adventure games, you would probably immensely enjoy this one, especially if you like Niven's Known Space series.JasefWisener wrote:I've only played the demo of Return to Ringworld that was included on my cd of Ringworld. It's already a broad enough game. Perhaps we should limit it to PC, or at least just computers.Jules wrote:I don't know that shot but I do have a question: Do console games count? Like from Sega Genesis? Or is this strictly PC.

I'd like see just PC games, I don't even own any consoles. And i agree the pics are too small for a generic non-Sierra game.

Re: Where Do I Belong? The "Other" Edition
Although I've played on consoles for years (in addition to the PC), I'd agree in keeping with a PC-only game. Most of the people here haven't played very many console games, if any, and adding in a console game might alienate some players.
The only possible way I could see entering consoles into the mix is if the game shown was extremely well known. For instance... everyone knows what Super Mario Bros looks like, even if they haven't played the game.

I'm pretty sure it's not, but could it be Sanitarium?

Re: Where Do I Belong? The "Other" Edition
Nope.
A few hints.
1. It's the equivalent of a HUD
2. It was released in the mid-1990s
3. It's heavy on both puzzles and FMV

Actually, I'm very ready to move on.
It's The Daedalus Encounter.
Someone else take it.
