He was not a favorite of mine, but I grew to appreciate more and more over the years. It is a bit of a shocker.

I'm going to wait so more before believing he's dead. The media is so damn irresponsible in reporting news nowadays that once-reliable major news sources are about as trustworthy as your average tabloid rag.

Well his agent confirmed his death, stating, "Robin battled with severe depression."

His agent could be wrong.

But somehow, I don't think this one is a hoax.

What I mean is some asshat could've come up with this. All it takes is someone to write up a story and put in whatever details they want. It's extremely easy to fool the media.

Case in point, several news organizations reported on something as if it was factual with their ONLY source being an anonymous Craigslist post. That's it.

It's also pretty common for the news media to simply make shit up. It doesn't matter if anything they report is factual or the least bit real, so long as they get traffic directed towards their sites. That's how they earn money now due to ad revenue. Their main goal is doing that, reporting news and having it be correct is a distant second, if that.

I think that was a joke.
That's the real problem with social media: nobody can tell if you're sarcastic. I experienced that with something I wrote last Sunday. :?

After hearing the news, we sat down and finally got around to watching "Good Morning, Vietnam" over here. Such comic genius... the man will definitely be missed.

I heard this yesterday at work. I was in shock for a few minutes. Requiescat in pace. :(
