Google Maps goes 8-bit!

Post by DeadPoolX » Sat Mar 31, 2012 9:11 pm

I don't know if this is an early April Fools prank or Google is just being their naturally weird selves, but whatever the case, they've developed an 8-bit representation of Google Maps. It actually looks a lot like the terrain from some NES games, which I imagine is the entire point.

Here's the video describing it and the 8-bit map itself.
"Er, Tawni, not Tawmni, unless you are doing drag."

Beat me to it! Great April Fool's!

The over view is 8 bit and the street view can be set to look like Gold Rush graphics!
