Re: Some Good CRPGs?

The ones I loved the most are Morrowind and Oblivion , which you promised to try again! :P I liked a lot Arcanum of Steamwork & Magick Obscura and the first Fallout . I find it interesting that you enjoyed Morrowind and Oblivion . Many RPG gamers (but not all) dislike those games, due to the "sandb...

Hotel Dusk: Room 215

Hotel Dusk: Room 215 is an Adventure Game (not Action-Adventure) for the Nintendo DS. It was created by using black-and-white sketches for the characters and full color backgrounds, complete with a mystery to solve. For those of you who're unfamiliar with the Nintendo DS (and the more recent DS Lit...

Re: Which games are you looking forward to playing?

Assassin's Creed is a great game as well, but it doesn't have much lasting appeal. However, it is still fun after you beat the game, since it turns into a sandbox in a way, and you can run around and do whatever and kill whomever you want. I suppose the "sandbox" mode of Assassin's Creed ...

Re: Movies?, movies!

Having finally seen Quantum Of Solace, I recommend it completely. I personally loved it but I must also warn that if you preferred Bond pre restart in Casino Royale, you won't like it as the movie continues in the same vein. Daniel Craig is definately my favourite Bond. I definitely preferred the "...

Re: Which one would YOU be?

The bite of most house centipedes is incapable of penetrating human skin. Those that can, give an effect no worse than a minor bee sting. They're helpful in a house in that they eat other pests (including spiders), and they're probably the reason I've never come across a spider here, but I still ki...

Re: The Silver Lining (KQ Fan Game).

There were people who were part of the SQ7 team that would only work on the game if Vivendi wasn't involved. The way I heard it was Vivendi approached them with the same deal they gave AGDI and TSL. SQ7 tried to counter with some other kind of deal and they couldn't come to an arrangement. Sad, rea...

Re: Which one would YOU be?

Matt, centipedes are actually poisonous and have been known to bite people. Most of the time their bite does about the same damage as a bee sting. However, like bee stings, some people are quite allergic to centipede poison.

Re: The DOSBox Thread

It works for all of the AGI games. There is also some movement on merging FreeSCI with ScummVM, but don't look for much anytime soon. Well, yes... I know it works with AGI games; however, I dislike playing those nowadays. I'm sorry to say that the graphics are so pitiful that it's almost painful to...

Re: The DOSBox Thread

I have to admit, DOSBox is very useful when playing older DOS games. If you don't want to edit any DOSBox parameters, then using it is easy -- simply drag the BAT, COM or EXE onto the desktop icon. It'll play from there, no typing required. As much as I like DOSBox, however, I prefer ScummVM. It's t...

Re: Broken Sword

You can play the ScummVM supported games on any portable device that ScummVM has been ported to. Space Quest 1 on your iPhone, anyone? That's true; however, to properly install ScummVM on a game system such as the Wii (which seems to require The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in order to hack t...

I really enjoyed it :D
That is your opinion. I'm sure you dislike many games in the FPS genre, but that doesn't mean they're "bad." I didn't care for Still Life; if you enjoyed it, that's great.

Re: News of Day

In other news, one of the five remaining WWI veterans has passed away at 108. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/leicestershire/7712943.stm That's sad. What's even worse is that so many people today have no clue what WWI was, when it took place or how it differs from WWII. Honestly, I...

Re: Hmmm. What do you think of this?

Thanks, Al!

The original image was black-and-white, so I cropped and colorized it to work better on the forum. The game it's from is called Hotel Dusk: Room 215, which is an adventure game for the Nintendo DS. Unfortunately, there are no plans for a PC version.

Hmmm... I wonder if anyone actually read the thread before posting. I suppose not, since what I advised has already been repeated twice. ;)
