Re: What are you playing now?
BWAHAHA! Finally... the incredibly cheap menace (aka Tabuu) has been defeated! It took a six-man team, consisting of King Dedede, Meta Knight, R.O.B., Samus and Pit to do it. I was down to my last character when I defeated him. Unfortunately, Maia and I couldn't do it together. That was a ...

Re: Things That Annoy You!
I don't mind cyclists so long as they stay off busy roads. It's extremely annoying to drive so slow you see tortoises walk past you, simply because you have to stay behind a cyclist.

Re: Things That Annoy You!
On the flip side of the driver/pedestrian issue, I hate drivers that don't look for pedestrians when they're making a turn and the pedestrian has the right-of-way (i.e. on a crosswalk, with the walk signal). There have been times I would have been hit, if I had trusted the drivers to drive like the...

In no particular order... Israel - As a Jew, I'd really like to see this country. However, I'm waiting until the fighting calms down a bit. Germany - I can speak German (at least well enough so I don't sound retarded) and read/write it, too. I'd also want to see the concentration camps. Japan - Alth...

Re: Things That Annoy You!
Two things I hate: 1. Pedestrians walking out in front of traffic when it's not their turn to go. Why do they do this? Do they have a death wish? I fully realize pedestrians need to walk wherever they're going, but there are crosswalks (many with crossing lights) to do this. If it's a car's turn to ...

Re: InterAction - InterAction - just... amazing...!
I haven't noticed any gaps, but DPX might be a better person to ask. I know he collected them with almost religious zeal...! I wouldn't go that far, Al. ;) The main reason I had so many InterAction magazines is because I'm basically a pack rat. So is my dad, which drove my mother absolutely crazy. ...

Re: any red baron fans
Before I fully reply, I'd like to point out that we DO NOT link to abandonware websites on this board. While there isn't a strict policy against using them (i.e. if you want to download it go ahead), but we don't link to these sites due to legal issues. The first Red Baron was one of my favorite ga...

Re: Things That Annoy You!
I suppose the reason automated menus tell you that you'll be recorded is for legal reasons. If they failed to do so and someone didn't know they were getting recorded, a lawsuit could occur. It seems odd that most people wouldn't already know about being recorded, considering it's standard practice....

Re: The many ways to refer to "The smallest room in the house"
I was at a restaurant once where all they had on the washroom doors was a crab and a lobster. It took me a minute to figure that one out. :? Thankfully, I picked the right one. *thinkthinkthink* Uhmm... I can't work that one out, Maia. *blush* What does that have to do with anything? *shrug* Also, ...

Re: a mouse issue
Five years old... time for a new mouse huh? Off-hand, I'd say "yes." Sometimes mice can work for longer, but it generally depends on what the user is doing with it. If someone is playing a lot of games and/or creating graphics and images on a regular basis, the mouse will wear out sooner than the p...

Was Anakin Skywalker justified in his actions?
Okay... I'm sure most of you have seen Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith , correct? If you haven't and plan on seeing it, you may want to leave this thread, since there will be spoilers. In RotS, Anakin Skywalker (later on Darth Vader) was afraid of his wife dying in childbirth, due to a Fo...

Re: What are you playing now?
Maia and I are having an incredibly hard time defeating Tabuu, the final boss in Super Smash Bros Brawl . The actual combat isn't too difficult, but Tabuu is uber-cheap. He uses abilities that teleport him across the screen and to make matters worse, he has a couple of attacks that are impossible to...

Re: Things That Annoy You!
Oh, to add on to that, it irks me when the other person on the other line can hardly speak English. I have to ask the poor thing seventy times to repeat the question. I understand completely. I know some people don't speak English, but when I've pressed the "1" in order to use English, I expect to ...

Re: American English vs Commonwealth English
While we're on the subject of "north vs south," I'd like to mention something that seems common to those outside the United States. I've known many in other countries to refer to Americans as "yanks" or "yankees." Within the U.S., that's a somewhat unfriendly name given to those living in the north...
