Re: How many women did Larry sleep with?
The woman on the beach in LSL3 did have a name: Tawni. Also, the woman who ties you up is Fawn (Faith is the hotel employee who's faithful to her boyfriend). Good gravy! You're right! That was Tawmni ! For some reason, I didn't remember her name! And I always confuse Fawn and Faith - but you're rig...

Re: NWN question...
Now, I'm not sure what to tell Avast... Rath, you can tell Avast to take "no action" when it detects a virus, PUP, or something suspicious in both the Web Shield and File System Shield. Normally I wouldn't recommend that, as it reduces Avast's usefulness overall (what good is a virus scanner that d...

Re: NWN question...
Rath, you probably have Avast set to delete files it believes are infected. Go to SETTINGS, then choose ACTIVE PROTECTION, select "customize" under the FILE SYSTEM SHIELD or WEB SHIELD heading (it depends which you want to modify). Once there, click on ACTIONS, and from that panel you can tell Avast...

Re: NWN question...
Rath, try this link: http://neverwintervault.org/patch/nwn1/ ... n-sou-hotu
If it doesn't work, try this one: http://nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Patch#External_resources
Ignore the first link that says "Bioware patches and updates," but all the links below that work.

Re: Live Long And Prosper. RIP Leonard Nimoy.
The weird thing is, Maia and I didn't even know Nimoy had died until we watched an IMAX film about space and exploration. When it over, someone in the crowd said something about Nimoy, and that prompted me to check his Wikipedia page on my smartphone.

Re: NWN question...
Gamers Hell (not Gamer Shell) isn't the most reliable of sources. Viruses in files that you'd think would be clean -- and might otherwise be so -- aren't on that site, at least partially due to the fact anyone can upload anything. So maybe a file was originally fine, but someone decided to insert a ...

Re: Sierra Games: Where Do I Belong?
Hmmm... I have a limited range of Sierra titles to choose from right now (LSL7, the SQ2 remake and the QfG series), so whatever I choose will probably be easily guessed. ;) Would anyone else like to go next? :) Rath, you don't need to own the game. Just find a screenshot online, crop it, and use it...

Re: Steam and GOG sales
Steam's having a sale on Adventure games (or what they call "Mystery Games," probably because the term "Adventure" can mean anything nowadays) that ends on February 13 at 10 AM PST.

Re: Question about game sales sites.
I would also recommend GOG over Origin. GOG is DRM-free, so that's a big bonus. The downside to GOG is that you need to manually install updates. That doesn't sound like a big deal -- and it isn't if they release small updates -- but sometimes they make you redownload the entire game for a new updat...

Re: Industry Award.
If you read the whole thread I brought it up only because he chastised adeyke for not not wanting to play Maniac Mansion. You know, glass houses. I read the thread before posting. It's just I've noticed some individuals here jumping on those who haven't played or completed certain Sierra titles, an...

Re: Industry Award.
You have been urged to play KQ6 a number of times and you have dismissed it. It is a very different beast than KQ5. So what? Who says he has to play KQ6 or any game in particular? I've tried playing KQ6, but never gotten very far. I don't feel I'm missing out on anything, just as I'm sure some othe...

Re: Industry Award.
How touching. :) Yes, I still remember playing Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island 1. Let's be honest - who hasn't played these two? ;) Honestly? Probably millions of gamers, many of whom would consider a game that's a year old to be ancient, let alone titles that were released long before they concei...

Re: YAY! Absurdly exciting Lucas-Arts-related Grim news!
Maia and I bought this on GOG before it actually came out. One of the very few games we've ever pre-purchased. The control scheme is amazingly improved. Like the original version, you can use the keyboard, but you can also control Manny with a gamepad (the diagram shows a PS3 controller, but they've...

I know. I was trying to play a joke on you, by getting you to think everyone saw the ones and zeroes as English letters.Rath Darkblade wrote:Uhm... have a look at Collector's profile. The signature reads:

This is what I'm referring to.
