Thanks! :)
GMail has been my #1 pick too for a little while. So I hope there won't be a problem getting an account I want. ;) The only tiresome bit with moving from one to the other would be letting everyone know that I've changed over, because I haven't really kept a database of people and email addresses... ...

Online email hosts - recommendations?
As I've posted out, I have recently had some continuing problems with my current email host (yahoo mail), so I've increasingly been looking around for another email host. I know about all the usual suspects (e.g. hotmail, yahoo mail, GMail etc.), but is there anything I need to watch out for, and ar...

Re: 5000 Posts
I take no credit for making 5000 posts. I'm simply gratified at having contributed to this vast monty-haul.
And hey, I might even reach the vast number of... *looks* 200 posts! Woo! Go me!

I don't think this 'case' will get very far. Firstly, these people are in the US illegally, so they do not have the same rights under law that US citizens do. Secondly, they do not have any proof that the farmer did any of the things they allege he did. Thirdly, they trespassed on his farm. Trespass...

Re: QfG5
I like all of the QfG games, but I like TbF and SoD especially and equally. They're both excellent games.

Re: Arrgh! *tears his hair out* >:(
Hmmmm. Well, it appears that my problems are over... I tested my email account and yuku account at my parents' place, and both of them worked. A few hours later, I tested them again here at my flat, and they work here too - why, I'm really not sure - but at any rate, it looks like I'm back in busine...

Re: Arrgh! *tears his hair out* >:(
Yes, I had the feeling that this might have to do with cookies, and I thought about that. When I try to log in, my Firefox cookie display (from Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Show Cookies) shows me the usual cookies have been set - one cookie from yuku.com. But that used to be all the cookies that w...

Arrgh! *tears his hair out* >:(
Now I'm not usually fazed by computer problems, but last night I ran into something horrible... :\ I'm not sure if anyone remembers the old ezboard messageboard system. I've been a member on several of these boards for ages. A year or so ago they decided they're going to move to yuku (yuku.com). Not...

Re: Got a Sierra game favorite that doesn't have its own forum?
Sorry to resurrect a dead thread... *turns momentarily into Rath the ~EVIL~ necromancer* ;) But here's one of my favourites that doesn't have a forum - Jones in the Fast Lane . Pretty much a unique game... I remember playing that one a lot when I was much younger. I still play it now and again, just...

Re: News of Day
Rath, there are some people here in south Louisiana who actually think Obama will solve their money problems by sending them a check. This youtube video is an example of what I mean. This lady believes that she won't have to worry about her gas money and mortgage because of Obama. Hmm. Well,...

Re: Fun exercise: run-on sentences
Hmmmm. I wasn't interested in the run-on sentences that go nowhere and make your head ache; those are useless, of course. I was just thinking about how humourous run-on sentences, a la Sir Humphrey, are constructed. *smile* You know the kind - where an insult is couched, or a truth is avoided, in "H...

Re: Cliches in Games
*ROFLOL* I've never played FF7, but this "Cloud" character reminds me a lot of the old Looney Tunes Laws of Physics. You know - according to the LTLoP, anything is allowed as long as it's silly? For instance, Daffy Duck is allowed to walk out into thin air and soliloquise, just as long as he doesn't...

Re: Cliches in Movies and TV Shows
LOL. If it wasn't for the stupidity of the people around the hero, he wouldn't be able to maintain his 'secret identity', and would therefore become just like everybody else. Imagine a world where Superman and Batman meet together to go shopping at the Local Cash 'n Carry, and where Spiderman has to...

I don't quite understand what this man is trying to say, if anything, but... *laughs* Then there's also this: http://www.cbc.ca/cp/Oddities/090129/K012906AU.html Wyoming man accused of drunken horse riding in snowstorm CODY, Wyo. - A man has been cited for public intoxication while riding a white ho...

Re: Your Top Ten Sierra Adventures
Well, basically, because I could never finish the fourth part. :( I tried and tried, but I could never find all the things that I was supposed to click on in the museums and castles, so I finally just gave up. :( What if I can provide a save game after each castle/museum visit? That would indeed be...
