Re: Things That Annoy You!
Although in my saying so, I might sound hackneyed and stereotypical, it must be said: a disabled woman is not a freak. I can think of maybe one or two ways in which, perhaps, religious differences might consider a disabled person a freak. But then what are we going to ban next? The Punch-and-Judy pa...

Re: King's Quest vs. Quest for Glory
Apples and oranges...
In my case the call is quite easy. I never played any KQ, except KQ5, and that was when I was already in my 20s. On the other hand, I've played QfG since I was 13 and it got me hooked on computer games and RPGs in general.
So I'd say QfG.

Re: ARRGH! *tears his hair out, tears his eyes out, collapses*
Yep, I use both Office and OpenOffice. I find that for me, OOO (as in OpenOffice.org) is faster than Office and easier to work with. The only problem is that if I create a table in a Word document, save it, open it with OOO, make a change, and save, it corrupts the Word table and I have to start aga...

Re: This is why you're fat!
To quote Leisure Suit Larry, while he's sitting in the dumpster in LSL1: "YUCK!!!" :P ;) That's not food you're eating, that's death staring you in the face, and not the nice Terry Pratchett-esque Death. ;) Gods, I can't believe people actually choose to eat themselves to death. I know we all have t...

LSL7: Love for Sail... where can it be found?
And... can I play it on any OS above Windows 9x? (i.e. Windows 2000 or XP)? ;) I never had the chance to play LSL7. Is it still available somewhere, and if so, can I play it on a more modern operating system than Windows 95, 98, or 98SE? I know I can probably find it on Amazon or eBay, but unless th...

DPX, I'm sorry but I'm well aware that the "Microsoft" button does all those things. It's like the old File menu, in effect. And I'm aware that I'll have to save it in .doc format, .xls format, .mdb format, .ppt format etc. to have it opened by earlier versions of Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint....

ARRGH! *tears his hair out, tears his eyes out, collapses*
I am forced to use Windows Vista and Office 2007 at work because my boss says so and the IT guy installed it. Vista isn't too bad for what I use it for (accounts), but what the fudge did Microsloth do to Office??? Office had had exactly the same look-and-feel for nearly the past 20 years; I've been ...

Re: Geeks everywhere!
I'm definitely a Book Geek and a History Geek, with a bit of a Drama Geek, Webcomics Geek and Code Geek thrown in. ;) I'm just beginning to become a Food Geek too. Ahhh! Too many hobbies, not enough time! *grin* BTW, what's the difference between a Furry Geek and a Webcomics Geek? Also, what's a CCG...

Oh, rats.
*is depressed because he only has... what... 170-odd posts?* I'll never get to 250.
Hey, wait a minute - this post counts as yet another one on the way there! Yay!

Alright - as you know, I had do a complete new system install and since then I've only installed RPG's  So far I've installed: Fable - The Lost Chapters - I love this game! Not too hard for me and quite interesting. NWN Diamond - Not that far in the game yet. Just about to explore the escaped ...

Those were daggers you were tossing at Nawar's Wheel of Fortune.
I know what you mean about the Parrot. That coarse laughter followed by "You lose, sucker!" quickly became the most annoying thing I could hear, early on in the game. Fortunately I worked out a system to beat the Wheel of Fortune.

Re: Things That Annoy You!
That situation with the rancher is disgusting. People shouldn't take the law into their own hands, whether it be the rancher (who's accused of manhandling these people) or the people who crossed the border (and trespassed on his land). Neither side should be rewarded for acting like bullies. As for ...

Classical music/opera question...
This is probably a very "way out there" question, but I'll ask it anyway. ;) I have an idea to do a classical music recording; I've already decided to take on Georg Friedrich Handel, and since I have a baritone-bass voice, I'd like to try some baritone or bass arias from some of Handel's operas or o...
