Re: Anti-Gaming Media
Because people who think in terms of "video games are for children" and "D&D players are all Satanists" are actually morons? ;) Sheesh. I've been gaming since I was very young, and I've played violent games like Doom, MK, Unreal: Tournament etc. All they've done was made me slightly nauseous due to ...

Re: Things That Annoy You!
Sigh. Today I was told that a guy who undertook our course 3 months ago has since not only skipped town, but also left the country - and the recruitment company that hired him out to the hospital, where he took our course, doesn't want to talk to the hospital or to me about him. (Of course not - bec...

Re: Things That Annoy You!
 Maia! :) I have to deal with annoying people on the phone every day (I work in accounts receivable, and part of my job is to chase down ageing debtors), so things like "Press 1 for ABC, press 2 to XYZ" etc. is the least difficult part of my job. Right now I'm dealing with several people who ha...

Re: Things That Annoy You!
My boss is a bit like that. She knows that I'm only working part-time and looking for more work; I keep asking, from time to time, if I can have more days per week; I try to be helpful by taking on more tasks from busy people in the office. My boss suggested to me that I help the other people, yet w...

Re: Geeks everywhere!
I'm definitely a book geek :geek: . I'm anxiously awaiting my next shipment from B&N. What's your next shipment from B&N, dotkel? :) I guess I'm a book geek in a different way. I don't wait for shipments... I go out and look for books. ;) I'm a member of three different libraries, with about five b...

Bosses who act like normal people most of the time, but then turn around and yell at you for trying to help because you're 'breaking the rules'.

Re: Adventure Games - Myth vs Fact
I don't think that beautiful 3D graphics are the be-all and end-all of a game; nor does a game have to be linear to be enjoyable. I wonder if anyone remembers a LucasArts game called Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis . I used to play that game many, many times - I have never finished it in all ...

That's true. I saw on the news that people in Iran are using Twitter to organise big rallies against Ahmadenijad. More power to them, I say!

Re: Who Am I?
Hmmm... A blacksmith decides to pick you up and thrust you into a forge. You would... 1) ...instantly shrivel up - you're made of paper or some other combustible material 2) ...make good fuel for the forge - you're made of wood or some other such material 3) ...bend but not break - you're made of so...

Re: Spelling and Grammar on the Internet
Personally, I have seen so many examples of bad spelling on the internet, that "Knite Dude" really doesn't surprise me that much. At least he didn't spell it "Knite Dood". Thank god for small mercies.

Are you male or female?
