Re: SHP #4 Poll: Best Non-Human Character (Adventure)

I'm gonna be in a minority here but I'm going to pick kattas. I just can't not pick the kattas. ;) Gotta love 'em.

At a close second, I gotta pick the green goons from Katrina's castle (QfG4), followed very closely by Toby, whose ultimate fate made me cry. :(

You might also want to pick up the mirror from your room and use it to see if Madeline Buthane (sp?) has a reflection.

(Gotta love those Klaussisms, Jules.) *grin*

Re: Vote for Guybrush Threepwood!

Any poll that awards Pikachu a win, in any shape or form, is not worth voting in.

Why is Gamespot still relevant?

Re: New Space Quest II Remake Trailer!

I'm not a big SQ fan - mostly because my little Roger kept dying before I could type what I wanted him to do. So I only finished SQ1, 2 and 3. But this trailer rocks.

Re: A little LSL joke...

OK... 1) There was news recently that some German politicians wanted to outlaw 'violent' games, and confusing game-stuff with real life; 2) LSL is fairly well-known to have rather *ahem* adult situations; 3) The punchline is a pun on the well-known saying 'Life wasn't meant to be easy'. *runs away* ;)

A little LSL joke...

Now, I heard that politicians in Germany want to outlaw Leisure Suit Larry completely. D'you know why?

Because life wasn't meant to be sleazy. ;)

Re: Things That Annoy You!

You want to hear about ridiculous car accidents? Go to Houston. The drivers aren't particularly insane EXCEPT when it comes to the MetroRail. In Houston, there a rail system that traverses Main Street and other areas through downtown. That sounds good, but... it's been the cause of more vehicular a...

Re: PS3 gamer sues Sony for incredibly stupid reasons

That's quite a masterly summary of the case, DPX. Thanks for helping us (or at least a layman like me) understand the background. :) Yep - it sounds like he's basically jumped on the "I'LL SUE YA!" bandwagon. ;) Does anyone remember that Weird Al song? And the video that accompanied it? They both ro...

DataDog, you have UHF? *drools* I've never seen it. What's it like? I'd love to get it, but it's never been released in Australia. :(

(Well, not that I know of...) ;-)

Re: After reading these articles, I feel really old...

I recall being excited with my first DVD-R drive and my first DVD purchase - a Weird Al video collection! Does anyone remember their first DVD? Or even their first video purchase?

I think mine was a Guns 'n Roses tour of Japan video or something similar... hey, it was 1991. ;p

Re: After reading these articles, I feel really old...

Heh. I remember some of these - heck, I still have to do some of these as part of my *job!* Like go to the bank to cash cheques once or twice a week. :P What kind of checks? Paychecks? Why not deposit those through a bank machine? We don't have paychecks - we get paid electronically. However, from ...

Re: The Most Ridiculous Puzzles Ever

I know I've said it before, but... that action scene with the pendulum towards the end of GK3. NOT fun, not at all - particularly if Gabriel dies. Same thing with the "trying to get away from the zombies" action scene in GK1, particularly since if Gabe gets caught, you can't skip the "zombie gets Ga...
