Re: The Most Ridiculous Puzzles Ever
As DPX knows, one of my least favourite puzzles was throwing the pie at the Yeti in KQ5. I don't recall any slapstick references, so how the heck was that logical?? Other than in the "I've tried everything else in my inventory and nothing worked, so what the heck?" way. Speaking of that, I always li...

Re: PS3 gamer sues Sony for incredibly stupid reasons
Just like most others that seem to sue for incredibly stupid reasons. Sheesh. Take some personal responsibility, people. Maybe then you wouldn't be so surprised that there are actually consequences for acting like a jerk.

Ah yes, the Walkman. When you had to actually fast-forward for five minutes to get to your favourite song, then rewind it to hear it over.
I recall being thrilled and amazed when they came out with auto-reverse.

Re: What's your favourite food?
I try to use a good amount of herbs and spices when I cook. Not only do they make it taste better with less oil and salt, but, as you said, they can have health benefits.

Re: Ridiculous Life Lessons From New Girl Games
Some of those definitely seem to be reinforcing negative behaviour. It's a shame to see that "popular clique" garbage actively promoted like that. Some of them seem relatively harmless, if a bit fluffy. Even when I was a child and actually played with things like My Little Ponies and Barbies, they h...

Re: The Official Welcome Thread
Hey SP! It's good to see a familiar name from the GK boards.
Welcome to all the new names (and people behind them) as well. Fresh blood is always welcome.

Re: What are you playing now?
Ghostbusters is pretty fun, once you get used to the controls. I love the PKE goggles.
Still playing Mass Effect and Bioshock sporadically. I haven't had as much time for gaming lately and we've also been sidetracked with Guild Wars again, so I've fallen a bit behind.

Re: Anti-Gaming Media
Sadly, most shows cater to the masses and will show them what they expect to see or whatever fits in with the story, no matter how unrealistic it is. Way to propagate stereotypes. Sometimes I think the complainers about these things are the ones that have something wrong with their head. They...

I like the Skytrain system in Vancouver. It's above street level for most of the trip so it doesn't get in the way. Plus, you get a really great view riding on it.

Re: What's your favourite food?
New food: Pesto Not just any pesto but home made pesto made from your very own basil leaves staight out of the garden. So colorful, fresh and garlicky. YUM. I love fresh herbs. Basil and Cilantro especially. I don't have a garden, but I do have a planter on our balcony that I've recently filled wit...

Re: Things That Annoy You!
I can sympathise, Rath. It's amazing how some people feel they're entitled to get something for nothing. That's another thing annoys me!

Re: Things That Annoy You!
Perhaps it is programmed to recognize the tone/volume of someone who has lost all patience to deal with the automated system. Of course that is not good for the agent that then gets the call. I have a feeling it was programmed to recognize the phrase, or at least most of it. However, I didn't yell ...
