Re: No Longer Airing.
One thing that's always interested me is that hese sorts of action scenes (in cartoons and movies) is the unbelievable amount of damage done to the city and probably civilians, as well. Whenever the hero knocks down a building, I just pretend no one's home. Like they all went to the lake for the we...

Re: No Longer Airing.
"Justice League Unlimited" was great. I started watching the sixth and seventh season reruns and then got bummed out when they stopped airing. I wanted more after watching Superman and Captain Marvel go head-to-head. Best fight ever. If only the movies put that much enthusiasm into their action sequ...

Re: Where in the world...
If I was immortal with all the money in the world, I'd like to visit every restaurant in the world, just to see where all the best food really is. Point in case - I went to four of the best reputed pizza places in Venice and Mestre, and none of them held a candle to how much I enjoyed Monetti's Pizz...

Re: Where in the world...
My last trip to Europe pretty much told me I'm not the kind of guy who likes walking around looking at old buildings. For some reason, beautiful cathedrals, renaissance art, and ancient bridges just don't hold any magic over me. I did like the sandwich shops, however. And the ice cream. For places I...

Re: Most overrated and underrated games
I don't like to say there's any over-rated adventure games since in the eyes of the total gaming community, they're all under-rated. But then I saw "Myst" on Deadpool's list, so I decided I would agree with that one. After so many years of adventuring with my favorite heroes, "Myst" comes along and ...

Re: Name that Adventure
Including #84 (how does anyone mess that up?), I would've had 42 out of 84.
At least I got all the Sierra and Lucasarts ones. I wouldn't mind knowing what some of those other games are, though.
Did anyone else catch how easy it was to figure out "Police Quest 2?"

Re: QFG4 - Error 52 in DOSBox
Don't you have earlier saved games? I'm a pack rat when it comes to saved games - save often and save at multiple spots with identifying save game names is my motto. I do the same thing - I just thought you meant the swamp in general since you have to walk through it to get to the forest at the beg...

Re: QFG4 - Error 52 in DOSBox
Wnever I start DOSBox, I usually bump it up to 10000 cycles (is there a way to do this automatically?) I'm not sure about how the core works. I'm using the CD version. The patch was applied simply by unzipping it into the folder. The problem may be that I've already been to the swamp and saved befor...

QFG4 - Error 52 in DOSBox
I'm running the most recent version of DOSBox, I've installed the patch, and I'm still getting that Error 52 in swamp with the Chernovies. Everything I read tells me that this problem shouldn't be happening with DOSBox. Is there anything I'm supposed to do with DOSBox first to fix it?

Re: Was Anakin Skywalker justified in his actions?
I don't see "murdering children" as a stepping stone towards a "happily ever after." Even if it worked, his wife would forever hate him and his children would be in danger from everyone wanting to take revenge. I see it as reasonable that he'd be lured to the dark side to save Amidala's life, especi...

Re: Things That Annoy You!
Ha! But still, I wonder why they always call during supper. Don't they eat too? I get annoyed by on-line debates where people live in the black and white of everything. Religion's evil, science is evil, democrats are evil, republicans are evil, PCs are evil, Macs are evil, spaghetti's evil, milk is ...

Re: Quest for Glory II VGA for free download
I'm playing through this one as part of my QfG marathon and I have to say I love it. The new revamped combat system is so full of options and I find myself constantly wandering into the desert just to try out some new battle techniques. It's so satisfying to go face-to-face against one Jackalman, an...

Re: My claim to fame.
Holy cow! Good eye there!
The 50's were hard on everybody. You can blame it all on "rock and roll."Players take on the role of an east coast gentlemen in the early 1950's, a time when the west was wild and life was tough on the new frontier.

Just booted up Quest For Glory 1 VGA today. Starting out as a fighter and I'm going to go through all five games in a row with this character.
