Re: Stereotypes in Movies and TV Shows

The first examples all seem to be cliches rather than stereotypes. Stereotypes refer more to what Therogue is talking about where it applies to our perception of people. Some of my favorite overused cliches always apply to the action shows: -A character never hits traffic during a car chase and can ...

Re: Doctor Who? No really who?

He definitely looks crazy enough to be the next doctor. It'll be interesting to see how this one holds up.

Re: Merry Christmas. How'd you celebrate with loved ones?

Most of the family was out of town, so it was just three of us for Christmas. Then we had a second Christmas on New Year's when everyone came back.

Thanks to my mom, I ended up watching a lot of musicals over the Christmas break.

Re: User-Created Adventure Games

Oh, yeah - there's a bunch of good ones out there. I especially like Yahtzee's "Days" series. I gotta get around to playing more of these in the future.

He became a Paladin. I just thought it was the natural progression of the fighter.

Re: What was your hero's name?

I did it! I completed all five games in all three different character modes! That was time-consuming! But at least now I mostly know the games inside and out now. I love how this is the only quest series that actually seems to be complete. I also took some screenshots from my thief game. I'm not eve...

Re: Things That Annoy You!

That's funny. I had an annoying beef with an electronics store guy last week. I was trying to buy one of those electronic picture frames, but all the samples were kept behind a glass and I was looking for one with specific connections. Problem is, all the clerks were busy except for the most useless...

Re: Mystery House - a very funny review and playthrough

Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. I should have because I'm on a deadline at work here. Hilarious read nonetheless. Saves me the trouble of playing the game myself.

Re: What was your hero's name?

I've recently finished my first pass on the series as a Paladin named "Chris" (my name.) Now I'm going over the series again as a magic user named "Azlo Fantastiko." I thought it would be a funny name at first, but man, does QFG2 ask me to spell it a lot. When I go over the series again as a thief, ...

So it wasn't just me. I did that the other night, and I kept wondering if I'd forgotten something when I walked out with nothing other than a few honor points. At least they let me sleep there.

Re: No Longer Airing.

Practically all of my favorite TV shows are either cancelled and/or no longer airing...and I actually don't really have any favorites I can name at the moment besides MacGyver* and Mystery Science Theater 3000. I never got the opportunity to watch the MST3K series. I really wish they'd bring back r...
