Big LucasArts News Coming on Monday

On Twitter Amazing news coming Monday! Super excited! You have no idea how tough it is not to start yelling about it! But it's secret! Until Monday! Okay, we will do hints. It is awesome news for our old school fans. (anything more direct might get me in trouble) I hope I don't disappoint. I know t...

I don't think removal of dead-end paths are dumbing it down (few LA games ever had dead end situations after all, definitely not the later games). Removing multiple interactions makes the game less intuitive and seem smaller in scale. It's probably easier (to play as well as to develop) but it just ...

Re: "Let's Play King's Quest 5"

I've actually been following this for a while. I didn't realize that the boot and the stick were interchangeable items puzzle-wise! Can't wait to see part 10!

It absolutely was dumbing it down when you're used to multiple interactions. It still bugs me to this day how drastic of a shift it was from KQ6.

Re: Switching the graphics from "normal" to "smooth"?

They're just different methods of scaling lo-res pixelated graphics. It's basically whichever one you prefer. Personally, I prefer normal3x. Keeps it oldschool! :)

Re: Employers looking at Facebook

That's retarded. An employer has no business nosing into a potential employee's personal life apart from what that person wishes to share with the employer. Especially if they haven't even been hired yet. And as far as the teacher thing goes....that's just idiocy at its peak (the fact that she got s...

Re: Adventure Games - Myth vs Fact

I think, perhaps, the only reason they don't do that is - they have to know the limits of what their game engine can do. I realize this I'm a little late in this thread and I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet or not, but I disagree with this statement. If that's truly how all game compa...

Re: Monkey Island Special Edition coming to XBox Live Arcade!

For those who weren't there or didn't know, LucasArts did a live 1-hour playthrough of the new Monkey Island Special Edition today at Justin.tv and it just ended a little while ago. I recorded most of the entire playthrough (audio only). So you can't see anything, but you can hear some of the update...

Re: Show us your desktop!

That's a pretty cool shot, MI. Nice to put a face to the name. Do you have any samples of your music? Not quite yet. The Free Agency released their first CD before I joined. I joined them for their CD release party when they did all the music live rather than with backing tracks. We're still record...

Re: The Silver Lining (KQ Fan Game).

Will any one be allowed to make a new fan game or finish one thats in progress since Activision doesnt care about the Old Sierra titles anymore? Since SQ7 project is put on hold because of Vivendi. As I just said, they're no where near as close to being open about licensing fangames as Vivendi was....

Re: The Silver Lining (KQ Fan Game).

I've heard it said that while ActiVision isn't as into the idea of licensing fangames as Vivendi was, they will honour any previous contracts made with Vivendi prior to ActiVision taking over and give them enough time to have a lasting effect after they're complete. They're not going to be making an...

The picture is of my band. I'm the guy with the guitar on the right. This is actually a recent picture that came back from a photo shoot we did last month. http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/6183/desktopxxe.th.png I've recently finished collecting all the Elder Scrolls games (as I've just bought Obl...
