Re: Vote for Guybrush Threepwood!

I think Gamespot is actually pretty biased about this competition. If they did any research at all into the character or the Monkey Island games they wouldn't have made so many mistakes in his biography or made him out to look like such a pathetic "hero." Also, that must be the worst possible pictur...

Vote for Guybrush Threepwood!

Roger Wilco never made it to the competition at all :(, but vote for Guybrush Threepwood for greatest video game hero of all time!

Yeah it's just a giant poll but who cares. Won't hurt to vote :).

Re: What are you playing now?

Recently finished Sam & Max Season One. Great fun. Now that TMI Chapter 2 is out that'll be tying up my time. I'm also working on Myst III and I've been trying to start Circle of Blood (aka Broken Sword 1 - Shadow of the Templars) for the first time on my Wii but I encountered a problem and it crash...

Ironic, as those are the only SQ games where you have to type at all. :P

Re: Advice for my upcoming game (adventure game experts wanted!)

As far as non-Sierra/LucasArts games go, there's a game called Altered Destiny that's pretty bug-ridden. I remember on the very first screen the game broke somehow by not triggering the code to draw the main character at a distance when he walked through an arch-way. This caused him to ignore walkab...

Re: Advice for my upcoming game (adventure game experts wanted!)

Well, it's all mentioned in Curse of Monkey Island, which is a much newer game. I usually don't add spoiler tags for games that are almost 20 years old. I'll add them, though.

Re: Advice for my upcoming game (adventure game experts wanted!)

You might want to ask the ScummVM devs (specifically the ones involved with supporting the GOB engine) and see if they know how to extract or export background images from the Goblins games. I thought of an interesting game element/puzzle that would be intriguing to see in a game and be in line with...

Re: Holiday plans?

Heh. Whenever I hear someone use the word "holiday" for "vacation" I immediately think of Sybil using the term from Fawlty Towers. As for me, my parents, brother, and sisters came up from Texas for a week a little while ago. That was my vacation. Actually we moved to a much nicer area of the city at...

Re: New Space Quest II Remake Trailer!

I'm not sure of exact numbers but I'd say easily within the 85%-90% range (not counting beta testing).

Re: SCI Resource Viewer

Never heard of it. But extracting works on earlier versions. Seems like the author removed a lot of functions for V1.0 for some reason.

Yes. Video game prices are crazy up here. I'll not support such craziness.
