Re: Do you believe in supernatural phenomena?
I don't know if there are different branches within each individual Christian group. Not Christianity as a whole, but different branches in Catholicism, for instance. There are certainly branches within the Proestant breakaway from the Catholic church. Whether or not there are "branches" of Catholi...

Re: Do you believe in supernatural phenomena?
He's protestant, of the kind that won't watch TV or have christmas trees in the house. But there are strong Catholic communities. I lived in one when I was six. How they felt about homosexuality I don't know, but considering Dad lived with a woman he wasn't married to they weren't very kind to us. ...

Re: Do you believe in supernatural phenomena?
I'll try and stay general for the sake of conversation. You see, if you ask a Catholic what does he think of Protestat, at least here in Italy, he'd say that Protestants are too free-spirited when it comes to social issues, say for example homosexuality. I know, in fact, that many Anglican communit...

Re: Do you believe in supernatural phenomena?
Sorry for the delayed reply, it's been a terribly busy couple of weeks. A couple more coming up, then it should slow down a bit.. but better to have a busy week than a jobless one! I do know that a majority of "religious" folks in europe are catholic; that's the whole reason the USA made it as a you...

Re: Manannan keeps killing me
I really do need to finish learning how to program in C++ so I can make my own games. I am firmly convinced that the only way I will ever truly be challenged anymore is with something of my own creation. Programming is a particularly good skill to have. I would develop that skill even if it isn't f...

Re: Do you believe in supernatural phenomena?
The problem with the Bible (and this has been said before on here) is that it's been translated and rewritten so many times that it's impossible to think it hasn't been changed, at least to some degree. Everyone is subjective when it comes to their beliefs and so it's not unreasonable to believe th...

Re: How to make Coke. (The drink!) ... Possibly!
I'm a huge Dr Pepper fan, myself... Though I do have a small Coke collection (signs). A couple of things about this don't quite ring true... for instance, the name of the show's host (Ira Glass) sounds like a joke name - 'Ira Glass', or I R A Glass - or "I are a glass"? ;) The second is the entire s...

Re: Do you believe in supernatural phenomena?
I take a biblical worldview, and for that some people really dislike me or think I'm "less educated" even though I've got a bachelors in electrical engineering and design all sorts of complicated electronics every day. I believe in demons-- the bible (I'm a protestant) is littered with stories about...

Re: Manannan keeps killing me
I was seven years old. :) Clearly at 7 years old, if you figured out how to beat that bastard Wizard in KQ3, you were much smarter than me at 16. For that matter, at 7 years old back then, you're probably smarter than me now.  I was 9 ... but my brother (10 at the time) and I both played...

Re: MMOs from Back In The Day!
Back in the mid 90's I would dialup to the local university, use some hacked accounts to get in and telnet to a MUD somewhere either in the northeast or the west coast, I can't recall.. It was a MUD that allowed you to script your own items and actions, so I worked a while on a star trek holodeck ba...

Re: Are ye ready to set sail wit' Jack Sparrow once more?
While less so than I used to be, I am generally pretty forgiving with movies. Maybe I have perpetually low expectations? I liked the first three, plan to see this one. Interesting that Will and Elizabeth's characters are out, though with the 3rd installment I suppose their stories have been wrapped ...
