Re: Cool and Interesting News & Such.
Interesting news re: Nintendo: Nintendo 3DS Gets Sudden, Massive Price Drop Boy, those 3DS sales sure fell off a cliff. So much so that Nintendo has instituted one of the swiftest and deepest price cuts for a handheld in recent memory. The 3DS only went on sale earlier this year for $249, but as of ...

Re: Sierra Games: Where Do I Belong?
In my extremely small experience with Sierra games, I'd say it looks like a King's Quest of some sort. Based on some learnin' I did recently, I'd also say it's SCI because it looks to have square pixels. But I have to admit, it LOOKS older, like it'd be an AGI game.. But seeing as I know VERY little...

Went on a business trip this week to the Dayton, OH area. Wrapped up Space Quest II and III both. Just started IV on the way home yesterday. Oh, what a WONDERFUL trip!

Re: Apple IIGS emulators -- questions
Can you run Classic or System 9 on your Mac? It would be a pretty old Mac, anymore that could run Classic mode or a pre OSX Mac OS. Both require an old PPC. Yeah, I still have my old G4 for the sole purpose of being able to run classic programs. Which reminds me, I wonder if running OS 9 in Sheepsh...

Tawm.. Good one! DPX.. Well I guess there goes the Star Wars idea-- that supposedly took place long, long, ago.. ;) Not to mention that Star Wars is a LucasArts property. :P Well yes... I figured my reply was so obviously out of the question that I didn't need to say, "this isn't a Sierra ans...

Re: Real life adventure idea
Did you ever read the book " Maze ?" (EDIT: I see it was released by Interplay in 1994 as "Riddle of the Maze" and is also now available to play online !) Traditional PC adventure games give you no clues where to look for other items and/or clues. However if done like a choose-your-own-adventure, th...

Re: Sierra Games: Where Do I Belong?
Yes. AGI pixels are double-wide because the graphics are 160x200 stretched to 320x200. SCI pixels are perfect squares at native 320x200 resolution. So within the AGI resource file they're actually stored as 160x200 screens, but in gameplay they're displayed as 320x200. Is that a correct understandi...

Re: Sierra Games: Where Do I Belong?
Okay, is there a primer somewhere on how to tell whether a game is AGI or SCI just from the way the pixels are drawn?

KQII PC Booter version
Hopefully soon I will revisit the going through of my old game diskettes. In the mean time, I wanted to ask about a particular KQII version that I have. It seems I have the PC Booter version of KQII ( as seen here on MobyGames ). The biggest question I have is if there is any way to copy these files...
