Re: VUG to re-release Sierra games - confirmed.

I'd like to get hold of CD versions of Laura Bow, myself.

These old classics... heck, the prices they're fetching on eBay should be an indication of their enduring popularity! Why is no one from VUG taking a hint from the outrageous prices the King's Quest Collection 2 is fetching?

Collector, that's beautifully done. I loved the way the screenshots are organised so that they give a consistent flow, and they're very well selected screenshots, too.

KQ6 has no peer. It really has no peer. Looking through those shots brings back the knowledge of that with remarkable vividness.

Re: VUG to re-release Sierra games - confirmed.

Ohhhh... now I have to play KQ6 again. I just cannot resist. I really can't. There are many computer games I love, but KQ6 has the divine spark within it - it gets everything right, story, puzzles, characters, witty lines, music, situations and replay value. When I first played it, I was left with s...

Oh, I plan to do the same thing in a year's time, by which time you'll have had to buy a separate house for all the titles you have.

Re: My collection

Rudy, you're utterly, utterly sick! Yes, you are so ill that you must go and lie down somewhere. Watch the little gold watch, swinging back and forth, back and forth, back and forth... You are feeling very tired. So tired. Ill and tired. Really, the only way you are going to feel well again is to gi...

Re: Fun exercise: run-on sentences

It's probably the sort of thing that might be hard to read... How many people enjoy reading those run-on sentences? (Unfortunately, some material that I HAVE to read in order to proof has been so badly written that my teeth ache. Run-on sentences abound.)

Re: Cliches in Games

More game clichés (mostly adventure game oriented): You are easily able to hide from people who are discussing very private things, yet you will be within earshot of their incriminating and informative discussion; Things in your inventory satchel never seem to get broken, even with all the fighting ...

Re: Things That Annoy You!

Rape is a terrible outrage - it's worse than a crime, because the outrage is against a person who is in the weaker position, forced to endure something that will haunt her almost certainly for the rest of her life, and subjected to intrusive and personal examination and questioning and snickering (a...

Re: Only Three Games

This is incredibly difficult for me... I must narrow it down, though, to these: 1. King's Quest 6 - in my opinion the best adventure game ever created 2. Quest for Glory 4 - in my opinion the best QfG game, with a delicious atmosphere, wonderful voice acting, and very character-driven plot 3. Gabrie...

Re: What is your cat REALLY up to?

The staring contest bit is ACTUALLY TRUE! If you give in to a cat's stare, the cat will feel he/she has mastery over you, and you will find it a great deal more difficult to pick up your cat and carry it to its special sleeping quarters. You will also be mercilessly tortured by the cat when you chan...

Re: Why dogs are better than computers

As I love dogs AND cats, I'm not going to get into any cat-dog fights! Hmm. Think of the following caveats about dogs and computers, though. 1. Dogs enjoy playing tug-of-war with one's skirt. Grrr, grrr, ooh this is fun! - so thinks the dog. Grr, grr, let go without tearing it! - so thinks the human...
