Re: Best Sierra Puzzles Tournament: Round 1

Wow! There are so many of them! This is going to be very difficult. Anyway, since the pie has already hit the Yeti, here we go: 1. "QFG2: The WIT Trials" 2. "GK3: Le Serpent Rouge" 3. "GK2: Retrieving the Lost Opera" 4. No vote 5. "KQ6: The Cliffs of Logic" 6. "GK1: The Message on Laveau's Tomb" 7. ...

Re: Break The Spine.

Currently, aside from the books I read for work, I'm reading Tender Is the Night by F.S. Fitzgerald, At Home by Bill Bryson and The Wolf Gift by Anne Rice.

Re: What are you playing now?

Characters will talk about your decisions from way back all the time but it doesn't actually influence the course of the game that much. I'm OK with that, if it means that narrative consistency is preserved. I have to start Episode 5 and I'm really in awe with the game. I really don't care about pu...

I can still see it.

Anyway, I agree with DPX: the crowdfunding campaign was a misstep after another and, while I certainly appreciated Rudy's attempt to adjust the aim, it was perhaps too late. Still, I'm sorry for Jim.

Re: What are you playing now?

It gets pretty rough in Chapter 3. Keep spare tissues next to your desk and prepare to go through a rollercoaster of emotions. Halfway through. I'm... well, I can't even find the right adjective. For the first time since starting the game, I went back. I just had to try to save Carley. She was my f...

Re: Quick question re: Dragon Age 1...

If it's another story, why bring it up? That's like starting a conversation with "no offense" but actually saying something offensive. Well, Rath was saying that he likes DA1 more than DA2 in every regard aside from the graphics, so the comment was pertinent, no? Anyway, it's been years sinc...

Re: What are you playing now?

Have fun making gut-wrenching decisions. ;) Indeed. I played Episode Two yesterday and it was one of the most intense playing experience I've ever had: near the end, since I couldn't quite stop playing, the tension was becoming almost unbearable. And the stunning thing is that this tension sprung f...

Just started Telltale's The Walking Dead (not a fan of the TV show, or the comic book), and liking it so far.

Re: Adventure Games. My Thoughts Of Late.

The level of popularity you describe is certainly an ideal one. George R.R. Martin enjoyed this kind of popularity before HBO turned Game of Thrones into a smashing hit. Said smashing hit allowed the author to purchase an historical movie theater in San Diego, among other things, but surely worsened...
