Re: Best Sierra's Musical Score
Very true. The music/theme was my ringtone and people at work (when someone dialed me) would always ask what it was.the_doctor wrote:heheh, might discover a local Sierra fan that way tho!Tawmis wrote:(Because admittedly, it's odd playing/blasting the music for LSL3 from my SUV).

Re: Monitors
I still have the first computer I (my family) bought... how else would I play all my old, awesome MS-DOS games? I think we bought it around 1995... it is a 486 @ 90MHz that originally ran Windows 3.1 (later upgraded to Windows 95 for free from the OEM, Gateway 2000, now just 'Gateway' I think). I r...

I can not emphasize enough how much this game should have been PQ4.AndreaDraco83 wrote:Now, with you saying that that's the most non-Sierra Sierra's like game out there, my desire to play it raises!!

Torin's Passage.
We were discussing how underated EcoQuest was - but I believe Torin's Passage is another game that is so ridiculously underated. I could have easily seen Torin's Passage turned into a 2 hour cartoon movie.

EcoQuest was, as said, very underrated.
But there's quite a few games that fall into that catergory.

I did the fighter - first time through on all of them (imported when I could). Never went for Paldinhood. After I beat it with my imported character - I always went through and played it with the others (with no import).

I agree about the bugs in QFGIV... they were very bothersome. But I did manage to get through it. I can't remember the ending for QFGV - so I am not entirely sure I ever finished it.

I don't hate it. It's true that Gates' writing greatly differs from Walls', and with no doubt that I prefer the latter, but also Open Season has its great moment, mainly in the beginning of the game. My greatest complaint is that the protagonist - see, I can't even remember the name - has no charac...

Re: Your favorite Leisure Suit Larry Game and Why?
There really isn't a lot of story with LSL6 and LSL7 - it's mostly a bunch of puzzles to get through (very KQ1'ish in a way) to reach the end result. No real interaction or love interest along the way to win over or anything like that. It's true.

I prefer the icon-driven interface. The parser was really good, especially in KQ4, but it can be also extremely frustrating if (A) you're not a English native or (b) it isn't developed to contain a fair amount of synonymous, so I'll say that the perfect interface was really the one seen in King's Q...

Let's also say that Jane Jensen script is much, much more adherent to the (at least "supposed") history of the region, as recounted in prestigious essays like "Holy Blood, Holy Grail". On the contrary, Dan Brown's novel is just a confused hotchpotch of different and incoherent theories about the su...

Heh - I am checking with Collector (I know he's going to say I don't need his permission) - about adding more rank/titles since we have so many posts now. Before 100 posts was a big deal. Now everyone should be able to hit that fairly easily!
