Re: Choose my next adventure

Half of those, I've never played. Those that I have played, I only went through once, and with the help of a walkthrough. So I can't really give any solid recommendations. I know the Conquest games are both heavy on copy protection as a substitute for puzzles. They do have an interesting system of t...

Re: How "The Empire Strikes Back"...

I really don't understand the vehemence of your opposition to Blu-ray. It's not just an arbitrary change; Blu-rays were introduced because they're objectively better than DVDs: they have higher capacity and can store the same length of video at higher resolution. So if you have the option of buying ...

Re: Export and Import QFG5 Backgrounds with qfg5pano

Unlike many games with a pre-rendered background, QfG5 had a moving camera. The simplest way to simulate this would just be by zooming and panning the background, but I'm not sure if QfG5 did something more complex than that. If there's even a small difference in the zoom level, you won't be able to...

It's hard to get things that aren't immediately obvious. Let's try this:

My guess, then, is the skeletal structure on the planet in the EGA version of the SQ1 remake.

Re: Space Quest - Where Am I From? Screen Capture Game.

It's not SQ1 or SQ2, since it lacks the double-width pixels of AGI games. Graphically, it only matches SQ3, though it doesn't look at all familiar from that. Then of course there's the possibility that this is from an EGA version of what would normally be a VGA game.

The memorable puzzle would have to be the brig, but I recall that being rather dingy, while that image is pristine.
