Re: Hoyle Classic Card Games (v2.0)

Okay, I think the issue is with my drive. It's one of those USB ones and it's never been very reliable. But it's the only means of reading floppies I currently have, so I don't have another way to check if the disks still work. Do you perchance have disk images of your copy?

Re: Hoyle Classic Card Games (v2.0)

Glad to have found it at last. I've attempted to read the disks but seem to be having some trouble - not sure if it's with the drive or the disks. Is this the version you have?

Like in MoE.
It's been so long since I've tried that game, I'd forgotten all about that.

Re: KQ - The Sierra Crossover Event!

I think the obvious choice, for a non Sierra game, would be King's Quest and Kyrandia mixing it up. Malcolm comes along and teams up with Manahahananaha's distant cousin or whatever. Love this idea. Malcolm forms alliances with all the KQ villains and teaches them how to turn everyone to ston...

Re: GK - The Sierra Crossover Event!

I've never played this game, but I know Laura Bow is referenced as giving a lecture at Tulane. So since the two games are set in the same universe, perhaps Gabriel could team up with elderly Laura for her final case. That would be a fun idea. Although elderly Laura moving about would be odd. Althou...

Re: QFG - The Sierra Crossover Event!

It's kind of fun to imagine the hero in some of the KQ settings. Ooga Booga would be a hoot - slaying swamp plants, zombie kids, wailing widows and grabby corpses. Better yet, Falderal - the arch duke will yip-yap no more after meeting the zap spell!

Re: GK - The Sierra Crossover Event!

I consider that reference just an easter egg, not a confirmation of a shared universe. The Sierra games tend to have a lot of those cross-series references and cameos. It's best not to think too hard about the implications of those references being literal and canonical. I know. Just an idea I was ...

Every time you log in to farm money, you get a random chance of finding a premium corpse.
 YES! Save your gold to buy police dogs, who sniff out the premium burial spots.

Re: Designing a Laura Bow Spinoff -

Maybe a pseudo-sequel, FarmVille type game, where Celie and the Colonel set about restoring the plantation to its former glory and must tend the sugar cane.

They use all the murder victims as fertilizer...KIDDING!

Re: Designing a Quest for Glory Spinoff -

A Katrina origin story might be interesting - exploring her life before she was a vampire and after she became one, the evolution of her powers and her descent into darkness.
