Re: Question for people who use GOG (Good Old Games)...

GoG is also DRM free.

I've never used the client, I tend to dislike those things. Just give me the individual files and let me go from there. No online requirement to play or anything.

Re: The time to guess is at hand!

Brilliant job with the video clues. Insanely clever :)

Datadog, allow me to join the others in congratulating you!

Re: The time to guess is at hand!

My reveal: I had a hard time coming up with a MASQ profile at first. Then, totally at random, I settled on... Whoopee Cushion! I don't know why, exactly. It just seemed silly and fun, and I get a kick out of old-school novelty gags. Here are a few of my clues: - I mentioned Adobe as one of my alphab...

Re: The time to guess is at hand!

Wow! Well disguised!

I'll amend my guess to say that notbobsmith was Russian Bot, then.

Re: Kyrandia Book 1 (Complete), II (In Progress), III (Pending)

Well, that's good to know. So I won't be using SCUMMVM in the future. I put LOK2 on hold, since I made a Let's Play Sierra Games Channel - I will eventually (once I am done with my collection of Sierra games) probably be adding "Sierra Like" games (like Legend of Kyrandia, Les Manley, etc) - and I ...

Re: The time to guess is at hand!

Hmm, interesting. Lots of different guesses for everyone. When and where shall we start revealing our identities?

Re: MASQ Games And Thoughts!

The Boddy Count - An incredibly clever twist on the previous murder thread concept. This is the way to go from now on, I'd say. I agree that maybe upping the stakes a bit so that someone is more likely to be killed would make it a bit more intriguing. Two Lies, One Truth - I like the idea behind thi...

Re: Kyrandia Book 1 (Complete), II (In Progress), III (Pending)

I take it these are for ScummVM and not the original DOS interpreter. Yeah, I believe they were ScummVM (done through GoG). In regards to save games, does ScummVM do something that would make it so these wouldn't work, say if you tried it through DOSBox? Yes, the ScummVM save files (I think for mos...

Re: The time to guess is at hand!

Well, Col. Mustard must've been ...Rath Darkblade... . Similar sense of humor as last year's Squirrel of Midgard , and even a repeated post in the "Continue the Story" thread: hop, skippety hop, like they were on drugs (or something like that) . I'm pretty sure Russian Bot was ........Datadog , part...

Re: What are you playing now?

Jennifer Hale is also Madeline in GK3. :) She's absolutely everywhere. Guinness Book of World Records holder for most prolific video game voice actress. I recently finished another game she was involved in, Catwoman, based on the Halle Berry film. She fooled many reviewers into thinking Berry herse...

Re: What are you playing now?

For the bugs; have you checked online if there was ever an official/unofficial patch made? Yes, I've looked. No official patches seem to have been made, but I am using an unofficial one. I think it fixes some, but not all, of the bugs. Apparently it was extremely glitchy on all platforms, and I kne...

Re: What are you playing now?

I'm currently trying out The Da Vinci Code from 2006. I had no idea a game had been made until recently. It's clunky, like most tie-in games are, but it allows you to do some clever detective work and decryption. The bugs are, unfortunately, game-breaking. Sometimes when a security guard punches you...

Re: What are you playing now?

Has anyone else here played the Lifeline series of interactive text adventures? I've previously completed the original and Whiteout, and I'm currently making my way through Flatline.

I love how they play out in real-time. The wait can really build tension and suspense.
